Tibetans in Tibet have been adjusting to many modern cultural shifts, which include the disposal of waste-material.

CTTF has established trash and recycling stations around the Mamba Elementary School, Drikung. Twice a year the students participate with the parents in collecting plastic and other trash materials.

Further, CTTF has installed public trash bins around the eight villages, parks, and the main town center located below the famous Drikung Thil Monastery.
